Learn how to set up and manage SMS notifications for your studio members.

What SMS notifications do
SMS notifications allow you to send text messages to your studio members alongside email and in-app notifications.

When to use SMS
Use SMS for time-sensitive communications like class reminders, schedule changes, emergency closures, and important announcements.

Add-on feature
SMS is an optional add-on. Your subscription plan includes a monthly allotment of free SMS messages. Additional messages beyond this limit are automatically billed at a per-message rate.

Opt-in required
Only members who have opted in and provided a valid phone number will receive SMS notifications.
SMS and other notifications

Navigate to Add-ons
Go to Dashboard > Billing > Add-ons from your studio dashboard.

Find SMS Notifications
Locate the SMS Notifications card in the available add-ons section.

Subscribe
Click the Subscribe button to enable SMS notifications for your studio.

Review pricing
Your plan includes free SMS messages each month. Messages sent beyond your plan's included amount are automatically charged at your plan's per-message overage rate on your next invoice.

Start sending
Once activated, SMS notifications will be sent automatically to opted-in members alongside your other notifications.

Navigate to Settings
Members should go to their portal or dashboard Settings page.

Enter phone number
In the SMS Notifications section, enter a phone number in E.164 international format (e.g., +15551234567 for US numbers). The country code is required.

Toggle SMS on
Toggle the SMS notifications option to ON to opt in to receiving text messages.

Save changes
Click Save to confirm the changes. Only members who complete this opt-in process will receive SMS notifications.

Check usage
View your SMS message usage on the Dashboard > Billing > Add-ons page. The SMS card shows a usage bar with messages sent vs. your plan's included allowance.

Included messages
Your subscription plan includes a monthly allotment of free SMS messages. The exact number varies by plan tier (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise).

Overage billing
Messages sent beyond your included monthly allowance are automatically billed at your plan's per-message rate. Overage charges appear on your next invoice.

No hard stop
SMS notifications will continue to send even if you exceed your included monthly allowance. You'll never miss critical notifications, and overage charges are billed automatically at the end of each billing period.
