Tournaments
Find upcoming competitions, register as a competitor or school coach, and track your registration status — all from your member portal.
- 1
Your studio's tournament page
Go to the Tournaments section in your member portal to see tournaments hosted by your studio. Open tournaments appear with a 'Register' button so you can sign up in seconds.
- 2
Public tournament directory
Tournaments opted in to the public directory are also listed at mydojang.net/t. Browse events from studios across the platform, see dates, locations, and division details, and register without needing to log in first.
- 3
Direct registration link
Your studio or a tournament organizer may share a direct registration link (e.g. studio.mydojang.net/t/spring-open-2026). Click the link to go straight to that tournament's page.
- 4
Registration window
Each tournament has an open and close date for registration. Tournaments that are not yet open show a countdown; those whose registration has closed show a 'Closed' badge.
- 1
Open the tournament page
Navigate to the tournament you want to enter. The page shows all available divisions, belt ranges, age groups, gender filters, available spots, and registration fees.
- 2
Click 'Register as Competitor'
Click the registration button to start the competitor registration form. You may be prompted to log in to your member portal if you are not already signed in.
- 3
Select your school
If your studio is already registered as a team for this tournament, select your school from the list. This links your entry to your school's team roster so your coach can manage your registration.
- 4
Choose your divisions
Select one or more divisions to enter. Each division shows the belt rank range, age range, gender, and fee. Divisions that are full or closed are shown but cannot be selected.
- 5
Review belt rank
Confirm your belt rank on the registration form. If your rank is on file in your member profile, it will be pre-filled. The organizer may mark your rank as 'unverified' if they cannot confirm it through official records — your coach can verify it from the school admin portal.
- 6
Accept the waiver (if required)
Some tournaments require a liability waiver. Read and check the waiver box to continue. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp.
- 7
Pay the entry fee
If the tournament charges a registration fee, you will be directed to a Stripe checkout page. Entry fees are charged per division. After payment, you receive a confirmation email.

What is the school admin portal?
If you are a coach registering a team, the school admin portal lets you manage all of your school's competitors in one place — without needing a MyDojang account.
- 2
Access your portal
Click 'School Admin Portal' on the tournament page. Enter the email address associated with your school's registration to receive a one-time login link. The link expires after 15 minutes.
- 3
Add competitors
Once inside the portal, add each competitor individually (name, belt rank, divisions) or import your roster via CSV. All entries are linked to your school.
- 4
Verify belt ranks
The portal shows a flag next to competitors whose belt ranks were self-reported and have not yet been verified. Review these entries and confirm or correct the rank before the registration deadline.
- 5
Manage registrations
You can update division selections and remove competitors until the registration close date. Removing a competitor from a paid division triggers a refund request that the organizer must approve.
- 6
Get your portal link again
If you lose your portal link, go to the tournament page, click 'School Admin Portal', and enter your email again to receive a new login link.
