Messages

Use the messaging system to communicate directly with members and staff. Send important updates, class cancellations, or individual feedback quickly and efficiently.

Sending a Message

    Click New Message

    Navigate to the Messages section and click the 'New Message' button in the top right corner.

    Select recipient

    Choose who to send the message to - you can select individual members, staff members, or groups. Start typing to search for specific people.

    Type your message

    Enter your message in the text area. You can include details about schedule changes, feedback, or any other important information.

    Send

    Click the 'Send' button to deliver your message. Recipients will receive a notification based on their preference settings.

Inbox & Sent

    View received messages

    Click on the 'Inbox' tab to see all messages sent to you. New messages appear at the top of the list.

    Check sent messages

    Switch to the 'Sent' tab to review all messages you've sent to members and staff.

    Read/unread indicators

    Unread messages are displayed in bold with a colored dot indicator. Click any message to open and mark it as read.

    Reply to messages

    Open any message and click 'Reply' to respond. Your reply will appear in the same conversation thread.

Notifications

    Email notifications

    When you send a message, members receive an email notification to their registered email address.

  2. 2

    In-app notifications

    Recipients also see a notification badge in their MyDojang account when they log in.

    Instant delivery

    Messages are delivered immediately. No delay between sending and when recipients can read them.

Notification Settings

    Access your settings

    Go to your account settings to configure how you receive message notifications.

    Choose notification type

    Select whether you want to receive email notifications, in-app notifications, or both when someone sends you a message.

  3. 3

    Set quiet hours

    Optionally configure quiet hours during which you won't receive email notifications for non-urgent messages.

  4. 4

    Save preferences

    Click 'Save' to apply your notification preferences. You can change these anytime.
